With floor-to-ceiling windows, this Portland bakery is unfailingly pleasant--especially with a cup of tea and a chewy, spicy Ginger Molasses cookie in hand.
by PureWow
authentic Brötchen!
by Maren M
Fresh baked bread (which they also use for their very popular sandwiches) is very good! I don't love the coffee here tho.
by CRUZ M.
Delicious turkey sandwich! I added lettuce, tomato, and onion :) Also they have quite possibly the best potato salad ever!

This full-service bakery in the Pearl District has floor-to-ceiling windows so the sun streams in. The cookies are excellent, as is the fresh-baked bread.

Try the food. I recommend eating it. Also, chewing is highly recommended.
by Zack J.
Great design, pastries, breakfast sandwiches...try the orange-anise brioche. Only drawback as far as I can see us that they are part of the irrational, tunnel visioned Cult of Stumptown.
by Brad M.
The autumn spice latte is delicious!
by Liz A.
Don't get the roast beef. It's too delicious for you.
by Kate B.
Get the table at the corner of love joy and 10th for a great spot to sip, eat and enjoy the scene!
by Dave C.
The good is great but often takes as long as 20 minutes to come. It's just an egg sandwich!
by Zachary S.
Great pastries, sandwiches, coffee, etc etc - best at what they do for a casual spot to sit with your dog on the corner and watch the world go by.
by Doug B.
The Lovejoy Deluxe breakfast sandwich is ridiculously good - add some Tabasco and enjoy.
by Adrienne B.
Lamb Harrisa sandwich and cappuccino is yum.

Try the things they bake. For a bakery, they really emphasize the baking they do.

If your planning on sticking around, they have free Wifi and seating areas with wall plugins for your laptop and/or devices. Big panel windows minimizes the sense of being cooped up in a cafe. LOL
by Deneb C.
Try every sandwich on the menu and see if you can do it before they switch out the art.
by Zack J.

Best oatmeal I've had in Portland. And $2/cup!!!
by Lindsay S.
The wait may be long, but that is to be expected when EVERYTHING is cooked from scratch, to order. So good.
by Bryan G.
Russian tea cookies are to die for.
by Lise B.
Delicious coffee/food but don't expect it to be quick, speed or a cup of coffee in 5min or less is not their thing...
by Ruthie F.
Worth the wait. Their turkey cafe sandwich with avocado, bacon, and cranberry chutney is the best sandwich on the menu. The quality of the espresso depends on who makes it, but it's never bad.
by Heather B.

Food is amazing but with 2 people behind the counter it seems to take forever to get through the line. I wonder if anyone in management checks this tip section to see that it really is a problem.

The olive tapenade breakfast sandwich is a dream come true of buttery, eggy, olivey deliciousness. Nice chunky Bloody Mary.

The wait time is too much. If all the workers behind the counter actually did something, the long lines would diminish.
