I was just told it's policy to give priority to those with their name on The List, regardless of whether you were there when your name was called or not. You can leave and still get a seat quickly.

Doesn't look like much but such good fresh sushi
by Wesley V.
Mafackin' ahma ebi done blissfully right and amberjack nigiri straight to my vein. This tastes like sushi should, and it's sustainable so my white guilt feels better.
by Riley Pittenger
If you can digest food despite a raging 'tude from the staff, kudos. Condescension comes complimentary at this "green" eatery. They charge a fee if you consume too much oxygen during your meal.

You cannot go wrong here. Edemame included!
by Brook H.
The flights of sake are awesome!
by Megan M.
Get the Green Machine sushi roll with albacore

First sustainably farmed sushi restaurant. The Green Machine Roll is hands down my favorite. If you like Miso Cod, theirs is great, but very rich, so save it for the last course.

We sat at the sushi bar with our freshly made cocktail of the day & ordered the chefs choice sashimi & shared it between 2 people & if this was your last meal - this would be it, said my friend.

Green Machine is the best roll I have ever eaten - no lie. so delicious!

Bar drinks were less than stellar. Ordered a simple dirty martini that had the smallest olives in Portland!
by Cory B.
Had a "flaming hole" roll that was so NOT flaming! Liked the sushi, but Bamboo certainly likes themselves with the high prices! Good, but not with the long wait to get in.

Albacore carpaccio -- that's where it's at.

Spectacular sushi on a whole other level from anything you've had before. Order flights of fish or any of the specialty rolls. Their tuna and salmon are to die for. But the planet need not die either!
by Noah K.

by Justin K.
Ask the chef about the crab meat sampler- sashimi style.
by Peter Y.
Best sushi in town, sit at the bar and let the chef do the choosing for you. Besides sushi this place has the BEST patty melt, I've gone there for that alone!

Order the Alaskan black cod. You will see God while eating it.
by Colin S.
Portland's "green" ethos is no more obvious than at Bamboo, the world's first certified-sustainable sushi restaurant. The Alaskan black cod is one of the top fish dishes in town. [Eater 38 Member]
