Whatever you do, get the boneless braised short rib. It's so tender to the point that you don't need a knife. Best thing on the menu!!
by Brandon K
Shrimp po boy was great. Really good beers here as well. The Blue Dot, Fred, and Adam are all standouts.
by Andrew P
Drink Adam. Lots of Adam. Take some home.
by Joey Wheeler
A must visit brewery in Portland in a cool building with killer beers!
by Behrad B.
Mmmm the Adam is perfection.
by Astrid S
Try anything from the Egg, and contrast it with the tap or barrel version of the same beer.
by Orion P.
The stout "Adam" is very good.
by Erik Brok
Try the tasting flight!
by Mikini N
I had the Blue Dot IPA along with four other beers in a tasting menu. As an IPA fan, I thought the Blue Dot was extremely good.
by David H.
Sweet stemmed glasses for any flights or samplers. The selection is more limited as compared to other PDX breweries but the beers are still unique, and the brewery, legendary. Matt and Ruth are great!
by Bin Y.
Taster flights offer good variety
by Michael T
Great beer, service
by Michael T
For you out of towners, this is a classic Portland brewery with tons of character, a cozy atmosphere and solid beers. Be sure to cross this one off the list!
by Whit C
Awesome aged bottle list at not-crazy prices.
by Ted P.
Always try the "from the wood" and "from the stone" offerings. Fantastic beers made fantastic-er!
by Cesar N.
Blue dot and doggie claws!

Pork Toast
by Jenny L.
Great place, great beer. Even though it was drizzly, they kept the big doors open which was nice.
by loran j.
Vintage beers are great. Draft lineup is average (outside of Fred and Adam, which were fantastic).
by Dave M.
The Beers are delicious. Adam from the Wood (2015 - Ardberg and 2015 -White Peach), Adam of the Wood 2014 and Fred

My absolute favorite in Portland... when it comes to beers... maybe in the world. Amazing beers and friendly service. Hallelujah!
by Jan C
No impressed at all. The turkey sandwich was not worth $9, the meat was all dried out and the bread used was of a low quality. Also, The Resturant is clearly understaffed
by Amanda Moreland
The beer is the draw.
by Matthew V.
It's really hot in here on a hot day. No AC.
by Caitlin T
One of the top three breweries in Portland. $2.5 for a 3oz taster.
by Ricardo H.
Gotta get an Adam from the wood
by Patrick F.
More expensive than rogue and forgettable beer, won't be coming back.
by Ben J
Great beer. Barrel aged special usually available. Parking lot in back. Nice staff.
by Nicole Kasten
Expensive but good beer.
by Marc M.

by Maxwell
Best beer! Love the Adam
by Carolina R R.
Beers are amazing and strong, food is ok.
by Mayhem S
The Adam is good if you like a chocolate tasting beer. For food, get the short rib. The mustard on the side complements.
by Giancarlo S.
Great space and world class beer. Seating can become limited as a result of the popularity.
by Dan O'Leary
Awesome meat plate and of course the beer is dope!
by stew tong
Nice food menu next to great Craft Beer

by Terry F.
Awesome craft brewery! Certainly check it out!
by Klaas B.
Another amazing craft-brewery from Portland! With 2 beers reigning under 15-best Ratebeer rating, Adam and Fred, use their sampler to try them all.
by Home Sweet Beer
I love this place! The atmosphere us great. A little spendy but a great place to chill out with your hubby after a long week or meat friends! My fav beer was 'the Fred' and 'the Ruth'
by Katie H.
So good! Just don't get the Caesar salad!
by Brandi G.
Bourbon Fred. 2013 vintage.
by Joseph B.
If you leave your card to reserve an outside table, request them to bring it back when you pay your tab.

by Rob W.
The food here is amazing! The kitchen really knows their stuff!
by Rob W.
Get a Pannepooch--from the wood. Delicious!
by Zoe P.
The Adam was luxurious! Who knew chocolate, leather, and smoke would make such an excellent flavor profile
by Carmel C.
Exactly what I want in a brewery & tasting room: nothing fancy, pickles and a flight of beer.
by Heather C.
More than a dozen beers, strong and flavourful and each available as a 3oz sample.
by Trevor
Kind of disappointing...
by Toby T.
Will scotch. get it when available.. My only complaint you say???? It needs a larger glass. Next best thing to coldsmoke from Kettlehouse in Missoula, MT
by Peter H.
If there are any "From the Wood" beers on tap get it. The brisket here is amazingly delicious.
by Chris W.
There are many great breweries in Portland. This is not one of them. Overrated and cold.
by Álvaro V.
Extremely great Blue Dot IPA here. Just get it and enjoy it!
by Petr P.
Fantastic beer selection
by Mani A.
Got wood? Just get whatever is on.
by Jeff D.
Great hearty beer! I suggest not committing to a full 12oz the first visit; get the sampler "Walk the Dog" or several 3oz tasters! They all complement each other well.
by Holly K.
Pickle sampler. Brussels sprouts. SO good. Love the Fred.
by Karla F.
Excellent beers across the board. Just a little too noisy to hold business meetings.
by CAKE
Get the Walk the Dog beer sampler - epic!
by Joe H.
Pork toast. 'nuff said.
by Andy B.
Bourbon Fred from the Wood is soooo good! Fermented and aged for eighteen months in bourbon whiskey barrels For a limited time only!
by Gary C.
My favorite is to get a 3oz of any "From The Wood" beer with a 12oz Little Dog Beer Back.
by Matthew D.

Order ANYTHING that says" ...from the Wood" on it. Trust me on this one.
by Kyle K.
So this is the place I was talking about, we are having individually made Mac and cheese, duck confit and Pam roasted Brussels sprouts! Fab! Come visit this place worth the trip....mention us!
by Shannon T.
Fred from the Wood: Oh My GOD!!! It's like liquid alcoholic candy in a glass!!! Yummy! ^_^
by Erik
The best brisket I have ever eaten in my life. Hands down. Oh..and the beer is good too!
by T V.
Drink beers.
by David K.
Little dogs = best session beers ever
by Scott O.
Hair of the Dog Fred Golden Strong Ale: At 10 percent ABV, Fred is no pushover. Still, the sweet and chewy body includes a sturdy dose of hops and fruit flavors.
by Portland Monthly
Fred from the Wood is my favorite whenever it is on tap; Matt is my favorite from the bottle whenever I can afford it.
