Good coffee, the pastry selection was very limited.

Yesss. Minimalistic with great coffee, just the way I like it.

The Original Stumptown location. Come here and chill for a relaxing morning with an amazing cup of coffee!

Perfect lattes here.

The coffee here is unmatched anywhere in town... long lines but they move fairly quickly.

The nitro cold brew is like a Guinness, but better. So unbelievably smooth.

Stumptown in general is pretty spot on, I'm just at one of the less spotty ones, which is surprising, given its on division. Very austere and not comfortable at all.
by Whit C
So much better than Starbucks that it's a given. Can't go wrong with an Americano or a Latte.

I had a mocha, and it was amazing! Great service.

They're a Portland staple for a reason. One of the best coffee shops in the neighborhood.

Espresso macciato has the right amount of milkfoam, unlike in many other US gourmet coffeeshops

This is the one the tourists go to, so as long as you're down with a crowded spot, no complaints.

Iced cortado for a hot day?? Go for it.

The coffee and the staff. The espresso comes perfectly paired with spring water. So good.

Not much outdoor seating, great service and the always delicious Stumptown coffee. Woodsman Tavern is right next door for those that want to grab a drink post coffee after 5pm.
by Adrian Phillips
Love the cold brew with milk in cartons.
by Amy J.
The quintessential Portland coffee experience. This isn't necessarily the best cappuccino in the city, but it's consistently really, really good, with a great vibe. A touristy place even locals like.

Wednesdays: $2 off single-origin bags o' beans! Plus, $1 coffee with your purchase!
by Angelica Dongallo
close to no outdoor seating which makes for a standoff when more than one person shows up with a dog. kind of a bummer.
by Emily S.
Hugh Acheson refers to it as “ground zero,” and coffee professional Erin Meister insists it “was definitely one of the leaders among roasters elevating the craft of coffee to a new level.”
by Eater
Stumptowns typically have a single origin as an option for espresso. Ask the barista if you should try it or stick with Hairbender. (they tend not to pull the single origin often—results vary).

Machiatto with soda water...heaven!

Simply the best espresso and coffee drinks around. Not bitter, tasty and sweet.

Drink a 7:30am coffee and listen to Marc Ribot or Sam Cooke on the speakers, read the Times and slow down. Great coffee joint.

French press black is where it's at. Barista's are always super friendly here.

Better than Starbucks if you are in Portland.

This place is great! I'm glad it's close to my house.

Oh division location. Your coffee is so sweet but your service is so bitter.

You should bring bubbles. And blow them. Sponge Bob would!! ;-)
