• Don't get me wrong...Park Avenue is a lovely place and I frequent several of the restaurants in the area, but I just to ask everyone...why is Jines always crowded? Why have mediocre greek food when Sinbad's is down the street and Mykonos, Olive Tree, and Basha close by? Why accept overpriced and average breakfast fare when the delicious Highland Park Diner's Pancakes are so magnificent? Heck, the pancakes at Mark's on Monroe Ave. are much better than at Jines, and you can get those with eggs, coffee, and bacon for $3.15 any morning of the week. I know that Jines is in a wonderful location, and I suspect that this alone is the reason it does the business that it does. But if you're looking for either one of the cuisines that this place serves, I urge you to look elsewhere.

• Some vegan lunch & dinner items marked on the menu. Typical vegan breakfast diner options. The spinach tofu burger is great, but the dressing isn't vegan, so leave it off.
