I am not really sure why I like this place, but I do. The service is fine. They have nice outdoor seating on Main Street in RO, which is great for a Sunday afternoon lunch. Nice selection of micro-brews and some great French inspired dishes. Have the frettes, or the grilled cheese... comfort food with a touch of class.
Monks Brewery is attached to the back of bastones. Bastones owns this brewery too. You can still drink bastones beer here, but they specialize in Belgium beers. Food menu is different too!

Get the pretzel appetizer but share it between two people! The 5-cheese dipping sauce is amazing. The Belgium Raspberry Beer is fabulous also. I got the grilled chicken salad with feta, yum too!
by Kae B.
Kids eat free Sunday nice but you still average $15+ a plate.

Salmon is great! If you feel like tasting the beers, do it as soon as you arrive
by Alberto J.
Nice beer selection. Make sure to try the samplers. The Onglet is a good entree option.

The K rocks!

The boursin cheese appetizer and calamari are possibly the best things on the menu. The profiterole and chocolate-mousse shot desserts are yummy too.
by Hadi K.
The mac and cheese is amazing!

Third time I've given this place a try for dinner and third time I've been disappointed. Overpriced entree doesn't live up to safer choices on the menu. Stick with sandwiches and salads.

Go for pizza and fries during 3-6pm happy hour daily - half off pizza and discounts on fries! Delicious.

Get the spinach and artichoke dip, but ask for extra pita. It is so good and so unlike every other spin+art dip out there
by Lisa L.
Hit up cafe havana in the back its a secret little cuban joint, with the same drink menu. Great spot for lazy lunches on saturdays
by Jordan S.
Grab the flat iron steak sandwich, its killer so are the warm pretzels. If you come often hook yourself up with their beer club for 50 bucks - it pays for itself in no time.

Belgian-style yeast strains go perfect with the Belgian-influenced menu. You can’t go wrong with Belgian Style Steak Tips, Pomme Frites with brewmaster mustard, with a pint of the Witface.
Come to Bastone for the most award winning beer in the world!!! Also an amazing assortment of French and Belgian infused dishes and may I say the BEST spinach artichoke dip ever!!!
by AJ Alina J.
What's better than a distinct, fantastic Belgian-inspired restaurant in a thriving downtown that makes and serves its own award-winning beer? When that places expands

Saison is the best!

Try the Nectar Des Dieux Triple beer! One of the best beers I have ever had.
by Chad H.
Delicious food, amazing beer and awesome service. We will be returning.

I'm a spinach and artichoke dip snob. You can do no wrong odering theirs.

Great seasonal bear right now, a fantastic blonde beer

Coffee stout is great. Saison, not so much.

Get a profiterole. You deserve it.
Rachel works in the commune and is the best bartender I have ever had! She rocks!!
by Michael D.
They brought back the good old frites!
by Fritz M.
If you're a girl, have a guy go to the bar for you. They don't serve girls here.
by Taryn M.
I like the bathroom here
by Anthony S.
It's all about the fries here. Be sure to try the different sauces.

Try the Dubbel Vision!

Through the entire month they are featuring Rocktober specials. I highly recommend the Steak Potato Soup.
by David M.
Join the Beer Club ... T-shirt, mug, special pricing on growlers and pints. Well done.
by Michael F.
Just went for beer, and I was not very impressed.
by Rudi S.
Bavarian burger is great
by Connor V.
Order the pan-roasted salmon if you stop in for dinner. I've tried multiple things on the menu, but none of them compare. I mean, it's topped with chopped bacon... enough said.
by Charlene Mae
Beer samples are a decent size, and the Forestiere pizza was excellent. Sundays kids eat free with the order of an entree, but apparently two pizzas don't count as a two entrees.
by Jeremy N.
For some old fashion Irish comfort order a pint of amber and the shepherd's pie. It will make you feel warm and cozy!
Get the fries. Get the beer sampler. The bread is from Avalon in Detroit!
by Joy S.
Food was "okay" and we had Chandler, the least attentive waiter I've had in years (on a week night too)!
