On a recent trip to St. Louis, I really wanted to pick a nice place to eat, where I would have access to view a television in order to watch the election results come in...

The wine list is impressive, along with a menu featuring variations on casual Northern Italian and California fare. Wild boar is a house specialty -- that's right, wild boar. http://bit.ly/11L7NjW

Rabbit, boar and other game take starring roles, as in the restaurant’s signature braised rabbit dish, which chef Carl Hazel serves with a bundle of potato gnocchi. (Evan S. Benn)

Corn/shrimp bisque was very good. Panned seared tilapia was great. French fries were great. Service was great. Excellent dining choice.

Try Chef Robert Colosimo's fontina fonduta (traditional Italian fondue with truffle oil) and oak oven-roasted mussels in garlic and cilantro pesto both make for moan-inducing starters.

Sometimes it's ok to leave your dog at home to enjoy good food. If you like steak, I would recommend the char rub! If you're in a big group, request to be seated in the cellar...good experience.

Dinner menu options are great, but highly recommend stopping in for lunch to try their "BLT" sandwich...Bourbon glazed apples, large chunks of Lobster, and Thyme remoulade. My fav...so delicious!
ALWAYS check out their specials and ask the servers' opnions on things. they know their stuff, and they will also be able to suggest excellent wines. Reservations recommended.
