Rio Rio Cantina Reviews
Horrible food horrible service. Never again.
by Masheli B.
by Lisa D.
Food bad. Drinks excellent.
by Brittnye H.
I looked at the tips and thought it may be people who are overly critical, but the food is overpriced for what you get. Save the headache and head for great Mexican food in the mercado
by Stephen R.
I'm pretty sure our waitress is drunk. Table Asked for a quesadilla and she never ordered it. But the marts are good enough to explain why she's drunk
by Franco C.
Great food...great service
by Mary L.
Gotta try that flan..... It's awesome stuff.
by John J.
Some people complain just to hear themselves do it. I'm not one of those folks. The enchiladas de pollo con mole was pretty good. It was not as spicy as I like but still very good. Thumbs up!
by John J.
Do not eat here. Bland food and really slow service.
by Frank K.
The waitress was awful, the food was cold, and the experience was overall terrible. By time the "frozen" margaritas arrived, they were watered down and warm. Do not come to this place!
by Stuart B.
Don't bother, unless you love bland food and terrible service.
by Ryan M.
Drinks are okay, but take your appetite somewhere else
by Robert M.
Turns out their "happy hour" specials were only good at the bar, not upstairs or on the riverwalk - buyer beware
by Brian G.
If you wanna eat something big and fast, that is your spot. A bit pricer.. OH well, It is riverwalk area afterall...
by Gunes A.
Not great place!! The food took so long and and it wasn't good at all. I have had better. Choose other Mexican restaurant!
by Nomin A.
Service was crap. I had to ask if we still had a waiter.
by Courtney V.
Some of the worst Mexican I've had in a while... horrible salsa, nasty Chile Relleno and yucky enchiladas! Soooooooooooo disheartening- keep walking and sont look back!
by Cheyenne H.
Dog Friendly! Easy to modify the menu too
by Steve H.
Don't feed the ducks!! The host will get you!
by Kristina H.
Yuuuk! The salsa was bland and tasteless!! Chips were not homemade. Our waiter was incredibly annoying!!
by Sharon P.
Don't eat here! Food is blander than bland! Service sucks! Done eating and still don't know who the server is!
by Scott D.
Lunch specials are inexpensive and taste delicious. Loved the cheese queso.
by Brittnee L.
Food was fabulous...everything you would expect at a Mexican restaraunt and more...even live music!
by Lacey S.
Horrible service, over priced blan food.. Reminds me of an expensive as fuck taco cabana
by Ryan R.
Ask for Jose! He's so awesome, we came back 2 nights in a row!
by Kristen M.
Great enchiladas, beef and chicken tacos. Tortilla soup on a chilly day is the best. Iced down buckets of beer in their Naked Iguana Lounge are a great Riverwalk value!
by The San Antonio R.
Service was pretty slow. And shrimp quesadilla was spicy!
by Amanda B.
This place would not let our party of four sit at a 6 chair table that had been empty waiting on a bigger party. There were at least 6 empty tables and they just didn't want to accommodate us!!!
by Lisa J.
The only redeeming quality of this place is that it is on the river. The food is very bland.
by Jenn S.
Get a table by the river. The chili relano are amazing. And don't forget to take a river cruise. Well worth twice what you pay.
by Richard B.
The food is extremely bland and boring. Service was okay, not the best. Just enjoy the chips, salsa, a beer and the scenery outside and you'll be okay.
by Tristan P.
Hope you read the reviews before sitting down..
by Melissa R.
Don't eat here. The shrimp enchiladas were not good. Sopapillas were drowning in a syrupy sauce. Go to Boudro's next door.
by Tricia R.
The salsa is very good. Get the Rita on the rocks with sugar.
by Aaron P.
Worst Mexican food on the river walk!! Nothing redeemable!
by Michael F.
The food is so delicious! Great prices too.
by Betty G.
Carlo is the best server!! Full of personality and excellent service! Ask for him!
by Denise W.
Free wifi password is seven 1's! Everybody always forgets lol :-) Christine is so great! Awesome customer service!
by Kim F.
Good margaritas, but food wasn't that great. And they don't give free tortillas. I thought the food was overpriced for the taste and quality.
by Lauren M.
Pretty awful. Other places are worth the wait.
by Brett C.
by carmen r.
My date and I ate here and he and I were very satisfied
by Joseph A.
I'd say bad service but there's no service at all. If you want to sit and watch the river for free, it's good, so long you are not hungry!
by Leona H.
Don't ask for a lemon or a cosmo.
by Robert G.
be prepared to wait an hour for your food! good drinks though & nice view
by Michelle S.
Table 10 seat spence best seat in the house,
by Madison H.
Riverwalk royalty stop here for the views of the famed path, large portions makes it great for any cozy first date.
by Scion Advisor
This place was home to my absolute worst dining experience ever...hands down. Yes there is no wait but why do you think that is? This place truly is staying open from over flow of other restaurants.
All other places have long waits. Quick service and seating here!
by Mike H.
The sewage pipe burst, but the food was still good... We'll see how I feel tomorrow.
by Ricky V.
Known for their Horni Margarita. Happy hour Mon-Fri 3pm-6pm | Reverse Happy Hour Sun-Thurs 10p-close & Fri and Sat 11pm- close | Naked Iguana Wings are great! Lemon Pepper, BBQ, and Traditional Hot
by Tony B.
Food is bland and the brown sauce poured all over everything ruins any bit of flavor from the food. Overpriced and the drinks aren't very strong. Margaritas come from pre-made pitchers and machines.
by Kim R.
You must have the chimichangas!!!
by Benjamin S.
I didn't like it. I ordered fajitas and got shredded beef.
by Susy S.
Good Piña Coloda.
by Dwayne C.
gotta tell you - you could do a lot worse. The margaritas were awesome and we ordered the special for two - it would have easily fed four people and I am a healthy eater. The platter was cooked to per
by Steve M.
Try anything with the poblano sauce. It's delicious!
by Jason R.
Typical River Walk dining -- good people watching; nice selection of over-priced drinks; bland, over-priced Mexican food that'll hook plenty of tourists but attract few local regulars.
by Craig K.
Baja fish tacos are banging!
by Luis B.
when other places have long lines, eat here for good, quick food.
by Chris K.
eat on the River - Great view, music & food
