Classic. Dim lighting, fantastic cocktails, impressive wine list, delicious hors d'oeuvres and perfectly cooked filet mignon. One of my favorite steakhouses.

The chicken pot pie is out of this world!

This place is half romantic throwback and half overpriced, empty, dark and aging ghost of days old
by Sarah B.
If you can get Ron for your waiter you will be in for an amazing night of San Francisco history. His depth of knowledge is amazing.
by Stephen M.
The old-school gem survived the recent renovation of the adjoining Scarlet Huntington hotel. Lucky for us, this place, where you go for a burger at the bar and live piano music, still has an old soul.
by PureWow
The chicken pot pie is just plain fun and delicious. If cream and sherry is not your thing, check out the bar burger (or lamb chops). Order a paper airplane for a pre or post meal sip too.

The dim lighting makes this the perfect place for a secret tryst

I love old school clubby places like this. Great burger at lunch that they might reluctantly serve you at dinner.

Secret cocktail spot of those in the know.

Perfect for winter, this fireplace bar comes complete with a piano man, leather booths and a delicious mix of specialty cocktails on call. Feel fancy and enjoy the warmth in one of the private booths.

Interesting authentic restaurant with great food and lots of history. I'd recommend it, but you may need to book as it's very popular

Sophisticated yet laid back. Try the Fillet Mignon. Side of Brussel Sprouts is a must! Super-friendly, yet professional staff. Jackie S & Georgette we're the best!

Ah.Maz.Ing. Sit back , get a Manhattan, listen to the tantalizing tickles of the ivories and let yourself go. Take a tour of the old photos and pretend you're Dagny Taggert.

Live piano music, a chicken pot pie from chef Gloria Ciccarone-Nehls and martinis made with Anchor Distilling's Junipero gin complete the experience of this quintessential Nob Hill power spot.

Go to The Big 4 and note the cocktail tables etched with the place's namesakes: Crocker, Hopkins, Huntington, and Stanford.
