Blogger Reviews of Tartine Bakery
Rebecca Gomez Farrell on Feb 04, 2014
The morning buns are the most hyped of Tartine's baked goods, and for good reason. The whole bun is dusted in sugar. It features wonderfully crunchy edges and a bottom soaked in a faintly orange syrup, which creates a hard coating that was too hard in a few spots. But once you taste that butter soaked into the morning bun's layers, your appreciation for it can only deepen.
Tartine Bakery Reviews
tres leches, chocolate eclairs, morning bun, everything?
by Christle A.
Bread pudding > Morning bun
by Kaitlin Y.
Everything is good here but the Banana Cream tart is amazing. Fresh and the chocolate base keeps the pie crust nice and flakey.
by Mike L.
Love the plain croissant but is it just me, or does the gougere taste burnt?
by Rumana S.
loving the double chocolate tea cake
by Dara O.
Tartine Bakery & Cafe is amazing for brunch. They have a huge selection of pastries and sandwiches. If it is too crowded, take it up the street to Dolores Park!
Known for their croissants
by Kevin S.
best chocolate croissant, get there before/right when it opens or you’ll be in line forever. in the Mission District
by Caitlin J.
Delicious bread here. Get the chocolate cake too.
by Katherine L.

by Melissa R.
Ham and cheese croissant.

The Tres Leches cake is heaven. Definitely one of the most underrated items at Tartine.
by Christopher A.
Chocolate croissant - my favourite in the world.
by Nick C.
Pecorino w/ almond is so decadent and savory!
by megan d.
Local ingredients + foreign flavours = winning combination. Love Tartine!
The wait in line will be worth it if you want a pastry and good espresso. Morning buns are ace, but everything's great.
by Kyle M.
Why?!?!?! I don't get it
by vanessa t.
Call before expecting to get sourdough. It is often reserved and only baked at certain times throughout the day.
by Micah A.
You can get 1/2 loaves of bread to mix and match.
by Alexandra K.
Good place to enjoy food of every genre, though the price of food items are very reasonable, the overall ambiance of this place is too good.To get best financial tips visit https://www.faaastcash.com/

keep yourself busy people-watching while waiting in line for an amazing spicy turkey panini. grab a beer and go sit in Delores park for the perfect bite
by Stef S.
Get here before the doors open!
by Nathalie B.
The almond crescent and the banana pudding are TDF. The croque Monsieur is memorable too. Really, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu.
by Billy B.
Morning bun and breaking puddings are a must
by Jacqueline H.
Overrated. Croissant had a metallic taste. Coffee comes in ridiculous bowl cup, far too big.
by Tom C.
Too many good things here to really suggest anything. Come in the morning for a breakfast pastry or come after 4:30pm for fresh out of the oven bread but always expect a line out the door.
by Adrian B.
Sandwiches are big but tasty. Go with pastrami.
by Micha H.
The sandwiches are amazing
by Graham T.
Way overrated! Had the bread pudding which was awful and the morning bun was mediocre at best. Go to Knead on 24th and Folsom and get the creme brûlée pastry. No line, best pastry ever.
by Nicole N.
this place is trending buy thats all. Lines are Huge because the service overall is slow,I had to wait more than 15 min for a coffee, which btw is not so good. The plain croissant is very good though
by Viviana I.
Get the fresh raspberry bread pudding!
by Kelly M.
So delicious, I can't imagine being disappointed with anything here. Worth the wait in line. Wish I had room for the sandwiches, they looked amazing.
by Tara R.
And no sign outside if you have never been there before. Not so tourist friendly, heh?!
by Doc R.
While they have great bread, they aren't long on customer service. Inefficient line mixes pastry orders with sandwiches. And, no diet drinks? No lemon for ice tea? Oh, but their bread is really good
by Doc R.

Banana cream pie. That is all.
by billy n.
Try to arrive shortly before 5pm & depart w/ a warm loaf of country bread in your arms! Crunchy exterior , chewy interior. We cut oblong loaf in half , freeze 50%, or we'll eat it all!
by Elizabeth S.
They now use almond milk with their coffee instead of soy milk, just like everyone else. Boo :(
by Nori H.
Line moves a lot slower than it looks like it should. Banana cream tart 4" is ~$8, so share with a friend if possible!
by Jessica F.
Morning bun, chocolate croissant and quiche were all amazing! And Four Barrel for lattes - can't go wrong with that!
long lines but worth it. great morning buns and my favorite paninis
honestly, this place is not worth the hype. The banana cream tart, croque monsieur & bread pudding that everyone is raving about are average and way overpriced. try a croissant instead
by Daniel G.
Not the friendliest service around, but the pastries are out of this world
by Juan G.

Any time I am in SF, I stop here if I have the chance. Only downside are the lines, but I suppose that is a testament to the excellence of this place.
by Eric N.
In the morning, go for the breads and pastries, but at night, try for a seat at the monthly Afterhours dinners. Reservations are based on a lottery, and the menu changes with each meal:
