Picaro Reviews
We loved this place. We had an early dinner on a Saturday night before going to the 7 pm service at Cornerstone. The Tortilla de Patata was delicious, just like my aunt used to make. Excellent calamari. We also had spanish sausage & spicy potatoes. Friendly service. We just ordered too much, it was all delicious!
by steinpeters
Paella, mariachis, sangria and even vegetarian options for my guests. Picaro Cafe has a little of everything!

Sea food paella
by Mohamed S
This place is amazing! Everything here tasted exactly as if you were eating at a bar in Madrid. Definitely get the peppers and the morcilla!
by Byron E
Sunday night of memorial day weekend - overcrowded. Busy staff. Poor tapas - don't bother with croquettes, chorizo mini sausages or fried calamari - all were below average.
by Pooja
Order your seafood paella as soon as you get there!! You'll LOVE IT!!
by Tim R
My "go to" place for tapas in SF!!
by Tim R
Sangria is a MUST!!
by Tim R
A bit loud but cheap sangria carafes ($10) and tapas! Not the best food, I'd go for the croquettes and patatas bravas. Skip the calamari and garlic shrimp
by Caroline S
Very nice place. Parillada is great. Serves 2 people, Service was quiet fast and very nice. But - if you booked the table for 2 - you could be seated near restrooms.
by Peter Gazaryan
Get the paella!
by John S.
Decent tapas for a good price! #carafe
by Mark W.
Best tapas I've had on this side of the Atlantic. The patatas braves are to die for, the paellas huge and delicious. If it's nice out, ask to sit on the back patio — it's lovely and romantic.
by Christine Røde
Only place I know of to get a dope parillada

Get the garlic shrimp and a pitcher of sangria!
by Chloe D
The lunch special is an outstanding deal at $7.07 (after tax) for a sandwich and a side. The Vegetariana sandwich is delicious and filling; The stewed zucchini is a touch watery though well-seasoned.
by Luke B.
Sangaria is legit. Bread with the Orange colored sauce tastes very good. Steamed mussels were a let down.
by Anna J.
Paella, tapas

Chicken croquettes, the sangria and all the tapas are to die for. Going to have to come back for the paella.
by Sam Kakria
Tapas are really genuine, good place to taste different spanish flavors!
by Jose P.
Basically nothing is good here. Period.

Tortilla, pinchitos, y estrella beer. 👏👏👏

by Alexander Boom
All the tapas and sangria are great. I especially liked the chorizo. Friendly service too!
by Cristi Scheye
Coming from Barcelona, Spain. This place is nice. It might be the closest you will be to good tapas back in Spain. Which is nice. The sangria is really good I will give them that.
by Luis Eduardo Castro Moreno
Love the sangria here!
by Mingfei Y.

Go on Monday for "paella night" which comes with sangria and dulce flan on-the-house!
by Kevin Y.
I've had a ton of patatas bravas and these are some of the best, easily. Including what I've tried in Barcelona. Every dish is fantastic here.
by Ramsen
Patatas bravas is really good!
by Sas M.
A mariachi band came and played. The orange sauce is great! The combo plates are a great value. I got the garlic chicken which was good, but became overwhelming half way through. Good dish to share.

Great for large groups. Get a pitcher of sangria. Also dig into the free bread with the yummy spicy red sauce. Also like garlic shrimp, lobster tail, and patatas bravas.
by Sarah D.
A piece of Spain in SF! Sangria, pimientos del Padron, tortilla, garlic shrimp...just take your pick.
by Diego R.
Amazing sangria... Order by the pitchers. Paella was delish. From the tapas menu, try the garlic chicken and potato pancakes. Yum.
by Vyoma K.
Can't go wrong w/ grilled oysters & calamaries; of course with sangria(;
by Hatice U.
Anchovy-stuffed olives and patatas bravas are the best way to kick off a meal here. This is a fantastic second-date spot!
by Sterling M.
Decent tapas- almost never a wait to be seated.
by Dory L.
Restaurante español que cumple todos los tópicos al pie de la letra, pelis de Almodovar, sevillanas y el toro de Osborne en las paredes. La comida, sin ser lo mismo que en España, es aceptable.
by davidquiros
reverse happy hour 10pm to closing
by Butter C.
The bread and sauce they serve you as an appetizer are delicious! Loved everything we ordered: grilled jumbo shrimp, spinach, pork kebabs, oysters, and especially the sangria.
by Mindy Y.
$10 carafe of delicious Sangria available during happy hour: noon to 7 pm!
by Jonathan
Noisy and loud. If you want a romantic and quiet dinner look elsewhere. The paella gets a 7 out of 10. Needs MORE saffron flavor, color and seafood.
by Marco P.
The orange dipping sauce goes with not just the bread, but with everything! So good!
by Angela M.
Love their sangria. $10 for a carafe or $2.50 for a glass (during happy hour) . Lobster tail tapa is delish!,
by Suzanne P.
Come for lunch and enjoy the awesome "bocadillo de tortilla de patata" - fried calamari and manchego cheese are a must.
by Carla P.
Try the Potatoes Bravas - #kvpinmybelly : Yummy garlic-y Romesco sauce. Kinda addicted to it. Paired with Clara. Flavored of Barcelona!
by Kris V.
Their salsa brava is fantastic.
by Vikas V.

by Rachael C.
Order the parrillada and sangria ummmmmm
by Eva Campos
Took 15 minutes to great, service was very slow afterwards as well. Other than that, the food was delicious, wine was great.
by Timothy Hunten
We recommend the paella and garlic shrimp. The sangria is tasty, and the pitchers get used up quickly, so order early and often.
by AskMen
The Jamon Serrano en Pan con Tomate is delicious; the squid ink paella is the only one worth splurging for!
by Emily L.
Every day happy hour, all day $10 pitchers of sangria!
by Vivian H.
The best value lunch in the mission! Try the sangria.
by Tom A
My mouth is on garlic fire, and I love it. Best Spanish in San Francisco (a place with pretty bad Spanish food). This place is pretty authentic.
by Andy P.

Try anything and dip it in the orange sauce. It's better than the orange sauce from La Vic's in San Jose. www.grubcrawl.com
