Mamacita's Restaurant & Cantina Reviews
I love this place and I drive from Cedar Park Texas to eat there I wish they stayed open later tho...or bring one to Austin!
I miss Mamacita's for mexian food. Loved their fajitas and especially that Green Sauce. Could someone send me the receipe. I live in North Texas and they do not know about the specialty. Occasionally when we go back to the Hill Country we always bring a pint back.
I absolutely loved this place. The food, the friendliness of the staff, the atmosphere, and everything about it was wonderful. I've never been to another Mexican restaurant that compares to Mamacita's. I went in San Antonio and I highly recommend it!
We decided to try Mamacita's this evening and were not that impressed. They are overpriced for the portion size and there is nothing spectacular about the food. My husband ordered the cheese enchiladas($8.95) and the server brought him this big plate with mostly rice and beans on it and two tiny enchiladas. The chips and salsa were alright and the tortillas good. The only thing excellent was the service. Our server was courteous and attentive. My husband and I live in the Austin area and try out a new Mexican place a couple of times a month and this one is towards the bottom of our list. We won't be going there again. We've been to much better places.
I have been going to Mamacita's three to four times a month for years. It is always good. The menu has choices for everyone. The managers actively supervise the dining area and make the experience wonderful. I highly recommend Mamacitas. My husband and I try to visit other Mamacitas in San Antonio, New Braunfels and Kerrville.
Oh my goodnesss... never heard of it, and absolutely loved it. The chips and green sauce was soo tastey, I barely saved room, but it was lucious... NEED THAT RECIPE!If anyone comes close to it, please send it to me...firstname.lastname@example.org
We love Mamacitas. The service is excellent, food is delicious, and the place is always to clean and pleasent. The only bad thing is that it gets very crowded on weekend nights. We try to go at non peak times. The thing I liked best, it that they keep my iced tea glass full at all times. The glasses are small so its good they keep an eye on my glass.
The food is excellent, the service exemplary, and the management superb. It's close enough to the highway for travelers, but is also a local favorite as well. The tortillas are made fresh, and the food is suprisingly healthy, unlike many other restraunts they have cut out the lard, but gained in the taste, truly a wonderful meal.
For many years I have had wonderful experiences at this restaurant! The chips are hot and the salsa and green dip is the best I have ever had. Every item I have ever ordered has been prepared fresh and delivered by a friendly face. The joyful management (and the fried icecream) seals the visit.
Everything we had eaten here is delicious... the salsas, chips, tortillas, beef fajita chalupas, tea etc.The price is right, the portions are large, the service terrific and the managers friendly. The whole operation works like a "well-oiled machine!Once you try this restaurant, you'll come back regularly! We all the way from Pflugerville to San Marcos just to eat at Mamacita's. There are other locations at New Braunfels, Fredericksburg and Kerrville. Try it, you'll love it!
Garcia's was closed, so we went here...when you have to send Queso back it's bad

Smaller than others but service & food outstanding.

The mole sauce is sweet the way I like it, they didn't try to pull a fast one & use can beans, on the down side the tortillas were raw, they did have la machine running 100mph, slow it down

Don't eat here unless you like your food to have no flavor or spices at all. If you do save money and buy an Old El Paso tv dinner instead
