Ruth's Chris Steak House Reviews

My boss gave me the choice of dinner at any restaurant for my birthday. I had heard Ruch's Chris Steak House advertised on the radio and it sounded great... Unfortunately, I ordered a rib-eye that came boiling in fat. Then, after the waiter had placed it on the plate, he poured the liquid fat all over the steak, ruining it. Because I was a woman alone with a child (well behaved 11 year old), we were left alone most of the evening. You need to bring hiking shoes to get to the restroom, and it felt very creepy to be alone in a dark hallway away from people, just to get to the restrooms. The seating was comfortable. The portions are huge, you can't get a steak and vegetables for one meal, you are supposed to buy several items to feed four or more. bad decision for a couple, or a single diner. Very disappointed!! Would never go there again, or refer anyone there.

Found the food to be okay but not exceptional. Was over priced for what you got. It's more a glorified steak house at high prices. The service was good & personable & atmosphere fine.

I have eaten at Ruth Chris several times and ALWAYS had OUTSTANDING FOOD AND SERVICE. The stuffed chicken is to die for and the steaks melt in your mouth. If you decide to get dessert try the apple crumb its wonderful. Hats off to the chefs and servers.

Shawn Hannity (personal friend of mine) convinced me to go a year ago. I went Maui last October and was terribly excited to take my wife. The steaks were the BOMB! Awesome flavor and the sound of the steak still cooking even while it sat before me was totally a splendid experience indeed. Now I am trying out the Seattle 5th Ave tonight. News at 10.

My wife and I visited last night 2-12-05 and were able to eat at the bar where we had a very pleasant experience with Trevor and Stacy the bartenders. We ordered the Valentine special which is priced at $80 per person. Our appetizers of shrimp and crab salad were very good. After our appetizers we both had casear salads. The salads were lacking in flavor and tasted bland and the same can be said for my garlic mashed potatoes which were pasty and watery with not much flavor. As part of the Valentine special you recieve a small lobster. My meal came with my lobster which was cold and no melted butter to dip it in. The kitchen forgot to cook one for my wife and it did not arrive until she was half way through her rib eye steak that she ordered medium and came medium well with over a half inch of blue cheese, which for us was to much. Along with our lobster being cold and late our butter was not melted and was cool as we dipped our lobster in it. Halfway through our meal my wife pulled a long black hair out of her mouth. It had fallen into the blue cheese on her steak when being prepared. Stacy and Trevor saw that our food delivery and our meal was poor and so she offered to comp our two alcohol drinks and she gave us a Ruth Chris Steak house special shot. Our best experience at your resteraunt was the people and not the steak of which we so excited to eat. WE WILL NOT RECOMMEND RUTH CHRIS STEAK HOUSE TO ANY OF FRIENDS OR FAMIILY, INTSTEAD WE WILL BUY THE STEAKS FROM COSTCO AND USE THE MONTREAL STEAK SEASONING FOR THOSE STEAKS ARE JUST AS GOOD.

We've been to Ruth Chris on three different occassions. We found them to have the best steaks around. When comparing to some other highly recommended steak houses in Seattle, there's just no comparison. The prices are high so we go on special occassions. The service was excellent everytime.
The dinner was fantastic and the service was outstanding!! Our hats off to the Executive Chef!!!

FOR 4.95 THE STEAKFRIES AMOUNT TO 2 AND HAD BEEN IN THE OVEN ALL DAY AS THEY WERE HAD AS ROCKS-AND THE SIDE DISHES WERE FLAVORLESS. ALL 4 OF OUR ORDER FILETS AND WERE ALL ORDERED MEDIUM RARE-2 CAME COOKED CORRECTLY- BUT WERE TOUGH AND THE OTHER TWO CAME 1/2 RAW AND 1/2 NEARLY WELL DONE. THEY MUST HAVE BEEN 1/2 OFF THE GRILL. SINCE THIS WAS A SPECIAL TREAT AND SOMEONE ELSE WAS PAYING NOTHING WAS SAID UNTIL THE NEXT DAY - WHEN I FOUND OUT EVERYONE IN OUR PARTY WAS DISGUSTED WITH THE MAIN COURSE. I MUST SAY THE DRINKS, SERVICE AND DESSERT WERE GREAT, BUT FOR OVER $200 FOR 4 NONE OF US WILL RETURN.

Tried the happy hour ahi very good but the mustard that comes with it does not complement it. The mustard over power the seasoned seared ahi

Offers two gourmet sliders during happy hour: mini Kobe and rib-eye burgers. Fav. is rib eye, doused in au jus and on a garlic-butter bun. Cocktails are well-kept secret. 4-6, 9-11 M-Sa, 9-10 Sun
