The Cathay House in Waco, Texas, was quaint. If I hadnít known it was a restaurant, I would have driven right past it. Just by looks alone, it would not be my first choice for an Asian dining experience...

  • spacecatt reviewBig dishes and wonderful soup! They have a buffet on Sunday, with constantly fresh food. Highly recommend the won-ton (soup or fried)!

  • spacecatt reviewDelicious food and wonderful service. Big portions and the atmosphere is very clean and soothing. One of my favorite restaurants. Lemon chicken and lo mein are my personal choices, and the chicken rice soup is fantastic. Reasonably priced and even the kids' plate is huge!

  • spacecatt reviewThe food was really good, but I stood for over 30 minutes waiting for them to collect my money so I could pick-up my order to take home and eat.

  • ChefMozThis is one of my favorite places to eat in Waco. I love the Chicken with garlic sauce. It is great with a Tisng Tao beer. The Generals Chicken is also really good. Also they have the best Hot and Sour soup I have ever had! As it said in the previous review, don't go right at lunch or it is packed, if you go at 2 or 3 you have the place almost to your self. There is a buffet on Sunday but it is really busy from like 11:30 to 1:30. Enjoy!

  • ChefMozEasily the best Chinese restaurant in town, which probably isn't saying a lot as all the others (at least to my knowledge) are buffets, though this place really is very good (and consistent + a good value). The complimentary fried noodles are a nice touch too.If you go for lunch, try to get there before noon or go after 1:00, because it gets really busy during the peak period and there is often a wait. Closed on Mondays.
