The NY steak was delicious! Their signature cocktails are well made and have interesting flavor profiles. The apple fritter was so freakin good! The bartender Nik is super friendly!
by Heba-I-am L
the foursquare tips and reviews are outdated since the menu changes often. All the food was great though!
by Kasia K
Sit at the chef bar - cool experience.
by Maddy J
The conchiglie bolognese is more than worth all the embarrassment of trying to pronounce it.
by Sandra Rubinchik
Amazing beer list!!!
by Ellie L
The pre appetizer bread sampler is so good, and the french fries are perfect!
by Martina E.
Vegetarians: limited options. They say farm to table but that's mostly meat (they butcher meat on premise). You can eat: mushroom risotto with capers, spring pea flatbread and all the great desserts.
by Rachel K.
The duck is amazing
by John D
Great croissant
by Liz Caselli-Mechael
Not sure what the big deal is. Like the concept but the static menu bores me. Unsure of the freshness of the produce or food handling. I have always felt ill after eating there.
by Ruth C
Delicious food with an unparalleled beer selection. Seriously, like 500 varieties of bottled beer or something ridiculous.
by Mark J.
Upscale bar food decent great atmosphere
by Brian Jeng
All locally sourced plates!! Bread was amazing & made fresh! Fig and prosciutto pizza was tasty. Wish we did the tasting menu! Loved the beer selection. You should definitely sampled a few!
by Allison K.
Washingtonian says don't miss: Arctic-char tartare; charcuterie board; fig-and-prosciutto flatbread; bratwurst burger; honey-roasted duck breast; peanut-butter cheesecake; fried chicken and waffles.
by Robb F.
Following an overnight cooling, the mac and cheese sticks are cut info 3-1/4-inch-by-1-inch bricks, coated with garlic-infused panko bread crumbs, fired and served with a sweet tomato relish.
by Washington Post
If you are a beer enthusiast you should select your own beers rather than go with the beer menu that is offered to go with the food.
by Erik Brok
This is the most pretentious and over-priced place I've ever been to. The food was tasteless. The have an "ethos" that takes 15 mins to explain. Go upstairs to Churchkey instead.
by Cheeky j
Very good menu (flatbreads are amazing). Didn't try the beers but it seems to be a must do! Service was awesome and the food amazing.
by Arnaud Réauté
Service was pretty deficient. Slow. Unhelpful. And they bring the wrong things.
by Javier A.
the chicken and waffles are really good, but not really worth the $$. French toast was dry and flavorless.
by Eric Francisco
And the chicken & waffles...DOUBLE amaze-balls crisped and dipped in syrup to perfection!
by Chuck L
The brat burger was amaze-balls!
by Chuck L
One of the best meals@of my life. The duck was fantastic + the truffle herbed Mac & cheese. Don't even get me started on the beer list.
by Kiki K.
If you get the tasting menu, just get the beer pairings. It's always worth it.
by carlen lea l.
Greatest beer place ever.
by Theron Zoid
They even have gluten free beers on the menu
by Gary Waliczek
Excellent service. Brunch is excellent. Get the chicken and waffles.
by Tara

Ask for Goldi Locks. He has great hair and great recommendations.

From Washingtonian: pecan-studded brioche sticky buns, sausage and fried egg on a crème fraîche biscuit, chicken and waffles
by Colleen N.
Beer list is extensive and impressive. Pairs well with a Sunday brunch of donuts and fried chicken
by Richie S.
Hours are listed incorrectly, they close on Sundays at 10pm. But are in fact closed on Mondays

by Lila R.
Wow...maybe it will be better for dinner because Brunch was less than memorable.
by Jasmine
Very happy with the Tasting Menu! Ask for the beer that tastes like an expresso shot to go with desert
by Nathan H.
Buger looks crazy good
by M. G. S.
The charcuterie plate is a cut above most others I've had.
by Benjy W.
Get the boozy brunch! Food is amazing, great service and Joel is awesome!
by Paula P.
Don't go with the tasting menu without the beer pairing – especially the cheese and beer match stands out in my memory as perfect.
by Anna E.
The food is wildly disappointing. Kind of shit. The duck is great, though.
by Wally N.
Inauguration drinking games! Sure the truffle mac & cheese and honey-glazed duck breast are also worth Instagramming, but it's mostly the 555 beers that keeps Birch & Barley a DC best.
by BlackBook Magazine
An upstairs/downstairs, beer-focused restaurant and gastropub. At Birch & Barley, order the cavatelli and flounder tartare; at Church Key, Tater Tots and charcuterie.
by Travel + Leisure
The best brunch ever! Will come again!
by Andrew
AWESOME, knowledgable staff...thanks Zach! Flatbread is a safe bet, but venture out as it's all tasty. LOVED the skate wing. Everything is seasonal, so menu is constantly changing.
by Audrey A.
At this beer-themed restaurant, Tiffany MacIssac's menu of sweet treats reads like the 7-Eleven snack aisle of our dreams—"Hostess" cupcake, oatmeal cream pie. Must order: cashew "Snickers" bar.
by Bon Appetit Magazine
Bitches Who Brunch love B&B's brunch. Try the house-made donuts - which includes a toffee-bacon donut (!).
by TBD
Their brat burger may be one of the best burgers you'll ever eat. And it comes with their homemade mustard for the fries.
by David B.
PB&J Cheesecake is the bomb.com!
by Stacey
Don't leave without having dessert here. The pastry chef is amazing!
by Lisa M.
Try Pastry Chef, Tiffany Issacson's delicious desserts: Bacon Donut, Cashew Snickers, & Peanut Butter S'more. The sorbets are delicious also!
by Lisa S.
The Chocolate Peanut Butter Tart is super. Can't go wrong with 500+ beers at your disposal either!! Wonderful place!!
by Devin G.
If you're coming in for Sunday brunch, make a reservation by Thursday. Or just come in after 6pm.
by Toneah L.
Overall ambiance is incredible! So sorry that I missed the brussel sprouts..I did try the Skate Tartar and it was incredible. The wine list is short but sweet...I sampled a delish Grenache Mourvedre.
by Sarah H.
Great beer selection...if Great Lakes Beer is on tap, you know this is a special place!
by Daniel N
Go to Birch & Barley and sit at the Chef's Counter. Order yourself a Fritz & Ken's Ale: Pioneer's Stout to celebrate Sierra Nevada's 30th.

The roasted brussels sprouts are delicious. Paired with the brat burger and draft beer, you're set for the night.
by Lara K.
Went on Sunday for b'day dinner which was def a great non-crowded night to attend. No need for apps, the bread platter they offer is awesome, then enjoyed the Duck & Casks beer! Loved this place!
by Kate S.
Sure, you can get an omelet and French toast off of Birch & Barley’s new brunch menu, but you can also order house-brined corned beef hash, fried chicken and waffles, and buffalo chicken flatbread.
by AskMen
The brussel sprouts (yes, really!) are beyond amazing. Loved the bread platter too. Service was amazing. Will sooo be back!
by Molly N.
Excellent food and ambiance, don't forget to keep space for the freshly backed bread!
