  • zamoyski reviewI went with a party of six people. I am not sure how long the tent on the front sidewalk is expected to be there but that is where we were seated. It was also quite cold in the tent. the food sucked. I am Italian descent and i have never had worse Italian food even in a spaghetti joint. Their red sauce was disgusting, their osa buco was tough and the sald was so vinegary I almost could not eat it. I would never never go to this resturant again. It is overarted over priced and just not a nice experience.

  • ThePurplePassport.comThe main downstairs dining room is really crowded (the tables are way too close together)–if you’d prefer quiet conversation to people-watching, book a private party in the Wine Room.

    55555 by ThePurplePassport.com

  • ToryBurchThe wine list is great and the pasta is even better. It’s a local favorite for politicians, too.

    55555 by ToryBurch

  • KatThere was a bug in the zucchini plate. Then they lost our umbrellas & tried to cover up by giving us new ones. The blonde girl at the reception didn't even apologize! I give it an F,even if food was ok

    55555 by Jackson M.

  • Scott M.If you're not with group or in need of a table, sit at the bar and let Ringo take care of you. Best bartender/waiter in DC. He knows the menu and the wine list and has NEVER steered us wrong.

  • Washington PostFor her 49th birthday on Jan. 17, the first lady had a special menu of fusilli with veal ragu, roasted tile fish with fennel and thyme puree and ricotta cheese mousse with carmelized pear.

  • Theo B.There's no happy hour:-(

    55555 by Theo B.

  • Michael C.Bronzino was excellent. Also not on the menu but ask for grilled calamari.

    55555 by Michael C.

  • Michael C.Food is always great and the atmosphere good for work or romance. Order the veal parmesan even though it isn't on the menu.

    55555 by Michael C.

  • Chris L.Pasta: perfect portion (think non-American), excellently cooked (al dente done properly) and exquisite flavour.

    55555 by Chris L.

  • Monica B.The Tortella Barba was awesome (and seasoned perfectly)!

    55555 by Monica B.

  • Mike R.More for the people watching power brokering than the food.

    33333 by Mike R.

  • Mike R.Food is average. Highly OVERrated. This place is a classic DC power haunt. You go here more to see/be seen vs. any extraordinary meal you might enjoy.

    55555 by Mike R.

  • Fr. John T.one of my favorite, if not number one, restaurant in America. Place to celebrate, impress, enjoy and have a marvelous meal with family and friends

    55555 by Fr. John T.

    55555 by Angelos N.

  • Margot S.REALLY good calamari <3

    55555 by Margot S.

  • Jon D.Good, but may be a bit overrated as far as food goes. The wine list is top notch though as far as Italian wines go.

    55555 by Jon D.

  • Julia B.I wish their bar-r (Julia) improve her poor service skills. If u are @ the half empty bar it takes 20 min to acknowledge you. you have better chance to get a nice table then get your drinks from her

  • Mark S.Pasta with truffles is outstanding

    55555 by Mark S.

  • Andrew Z.Restaurant is too large; too busy. Quality of food and service takes a bit of a backseat to restaurant's obvious desire to pack 'em in. Skip the high priced dishes (veal, truffles) and just have fun.

    55555 by Andrew Z.

  • Lena L.Ossobucco was amazing! Now waiting on my dog to give an opinion on the bone (3 or even 4 grrs?)

    33333 by Lena L.

  • Lena L.Desert service was quite good with Italian silverware including real dessert spoons (not tea spoons)! But the dessert itself (creme caramel espresso) was nearly acceptable.

    55555 by Lena L.

  • Lena L.The steaks at Morton's (next door) are superior, but this place is still tops for wine, service and atmosphere!

    55555 by Lena L.

  • Allison P.Great food, great cocktails, great people watching! You'll always run into someone you know here!

    55555 by Allison P.

    55555 by Steve N.

  • Emily K.The fusilli w/ Ital sausage and mushrooms melt in your mouth. The organic live oil is some of the best I ever tasted! Nice service, and dressed impeccable too.
