  • victorscott reviewService has gone down hill. I have frequented this restaurant for many years with my husband for special occasions. Although the food remains good, I have been recently disappointed by the haughty and inconsiderate. I was recently served burnt lamb chops and when I complained the waiter, looking at my coal black food, asked `did you need something`. He then proceed to tell me that some of their chefs didn't like to make food well done as I had asked - a seemly justification for my burnt black food. A follow email to the restaurant recieved no response. Think the Prime Rib has not moved on with the times, there are many good steak restaurants. I recommend Mortons, the Prime Rib is no longer worth the money.

  • catwoman reviewThere is no better place than the Prime Rib!

  • santana7979 reviewThe Food is quite overrated to say the least. The staff is friendly and pleasing though. I was offered a blowjob by a few staff members on way out and I kindly obliged to end the mediocre meal with a climax.

  • kerrycontini reviewThis restaurant is fantastic! Great service accompanied with great food, you just can't go wrong when you dine here.

  • bpalmer151 reviewDespite the excellent steaks and chops served by this restaurant, the service leaves much to be desired. I actually got up and left. It is slow and the maitre d' is still desperately trying to remove the pole from his arse he apparently put there upon receiving his position in the early 14th century. Many hopes for its rapid chapter eleven filing. Try Mortons, Smith and Wollenskys, or The Palm. All have tremendous service and equally good food.

  • jlegette reviewOutstanding restaurant and atmosphere. Excellent food and fantasic service. My favorite place in DC. Beautiful 1940's setting along with a perfect bass and piano entertainment. Simply, the BEST.

  • kerrycontini reviewThe name is appropriate, you will find no better Prime Rib in Washington, DC, I know I have tried lots, it has never been less than perfect, the sides are quite sizeable and always well done, except those `world famous potato skins` - they are literally just burnt potato skins. The wine list is stellar and the service exemplary, it's one of my favorite places to go, if you go early or very late, it can be quite loud and cramped if you go at peak times - very unromantic - 6:30 is delightful.

  • Michael CIncredibly expensive with disappointing service and over-hyped atmosphere. McDonald's is a more romantic fine-dining experience than this dump. ANY michelin restaurant in the country is better.

  • Marci ETime stands still at this elegant steak house. Outstanding food, and impeccable service. Great place for a celebration! USDA prime meats cooked to perfection!

  • Adriana lRestaurante elegante, es necesario el uso de saco y la vestimenta en general debe ser formal. Ambiente muy serio y piano en vivo. Buena comida y buen servicio.

  • Sandy L.Fancier than your average steakhouse- dress to impress!

    55555 by Sandy L.

  • Behrad B.Must order the namesake dish. A perfect 22 oz. full cut prime rib, prepared rare.

    55555 by Behrad B.

  • Anthony Van DetteThe only that is good here is the bread. The filet mignon was dry and the creamed spinach was nasty. The waiter couldn't recommend a wine to save his life. The service was horrible

  • StarGirl11Of course the steak is astounding. But the seafood is just as good and the staff is great. Great meal from start to finish. And worth the price.

  • Susan K.We have been coming here for 30 years and have never been disappointed by either the food or the service. A very special place!

  • Corey J.Escargot was great .... FYI the 9oz. Prime Rib is enough.... The other portion is 18 oz.

    55555 by Corey J.

  • Briar R.Rack of lamb is wonderful! Don't let them fool you about the sides: each side is made for ONE person. If you're planning on splitting one side.. Don't. Get two different items and then split them.

    55555 by Briar R.

  • Davut S.Try sea bass it's delicious

  • JWWhat a great meal. Pricey, (plan on 2 C-notes for two) but the Prime Rib, Asparagus, Mashed Potatoes are AMAZING! However avoid the sauteed soft shell crab. Yucky!

    55555 by JW

  • Mike L.You've got to order a cocktail just to read the bev napkin. Oh and yeah it's the best steakhouse in town

    55555 by Mike L.

  • Jay A.As good as it gets! Ask for Bobby and plan to settle in for a fab evening. Steaks, yes, but Dover Sole three ways: Poached in butter and lemon, Amandine or Baked & stuffed with lump crabmeat. Indeed!

    55555 by Jay A.

  • AskMenCrab Imperiale and a king’s carving of succulent prime rib - does it get any better? This is the kind of place that will make you treat your lady like a lady, and yourself like Lord of the Manor.
