  • ritam reviewWhile living in San Francisco, we happened into Bistro Jeanty, and what a pleasant surprise! It's catchy even from the outside with its colorful striped awning and bistro talble, but the real treasure lies within! I dined (the first of many times, of course) with some pretty picky eaters and we all left stuffed and smiling! The tomato soup with puff pastry is to die for (no weight watchers here!), the mussles are sublime, even the cheese board with apples, honey and nuts was above average. With so many world class dining establishments in the Bay Area, it's easy to take gems like Jeanty for granted. Don't! We enjoyed it each and every time, and when we wanted to hit French Laundry in a weekend, we would just have lunch the day before at Bistro Jeanty and feel as though we didn't miss a thing! GO!

  • ritam reviewWe arrived a party of 10 in late August for a sumptuous, lazy afteroon meal. The decor immediately affected the feeling of authentic French bistro. We were served by Rob Dion who has been with the restaurant quite a while, and he made us feel quite comfortable. The meals were cooked to order, served on time, and were `washed down` with splendid Napa wine. Our out-of-town guest from Nice felt right at home rendering his gallic approval.

  • ritam reviewA most pleasant contrast to the auspicious Laundry down the street, this is a wonderful dining experience in a warm, inviting room. The emphasis is on delicious rather than inventive, and it's pretty much classic bistro fare. The pike quenelles in lobster sauce was the yummiest thing I've eaten in a very long time. Great service and wine selections.
