Wow! Big things from a small restuarant. My girlfriend and I stopped in for a drink to get out of the rain. Hanging out at the bar we got to see some of the food come out of the kitchen. Several italian suits were going to town on antipasti right next to us. We submitted to the temptation. Six courses and two glasses of wine later we left. Almost as soon as we walked out we both agreed that we had just had one of the finest meals of our lives. I can't believe that we ate such a fine meal at the bar.

If your looking for Prime Rib, this is a great place to go. However, don't expect a large menu or much of a choice. Very good service and in general, a very good experience.

People who don't tip make me want to vomit. There is a certain amount of responsibility associated with going out in public in any fashion. We as people accept that, and wear clothes for example. In this country a tip is factored into the experience of going to a restaraunt. The only reason that a person does not tip is because they are a spiteful bitter human being (or so completely ignorant of our culture that they should be pitied). Not tipping is not something to be proud of, it is a testament to the fact that you are utterly ignorant of how people pay their rent and earn their living. You are a spiteful

I THINK BACCHANALIA'S FOOD IS JUST LIKE MY MOTHER'S HOME COOKED SUNDAY MEALS. I LOVE THE AUTHENTICITY OF THE FOOD, THE TIRIMISU IS EXACTLY LIKE MY GRANDMOTHER FROM LUCCA, ITALY MAKES. THE SPAGHETTI SAUCES ARE THE BEST I'VE FOUND. THE CHICKEN VESUVIO IS GREAT,ESPECIALLY IF YOU ASK FOR IT WELL DONE.

My girlfriend swears by this place. We ate there, of all days, during the Chinese New Year's Parade. She hates to wait in line, but for this she hung in there. For its size, the line moved relatively quickly, and next thing we knew we were asked to order, although we had no menu and I was unfamiliar with what they served. In fact, the servers were calling the shots -- very unusual. We ordered, at my g.f.'s insistence, the Sesame Chicken. We also ordered `an appetizer`, with no idea what they were going to bring us. Thankfully I was more than happy with their call -- crisp fried turnovers filled with fresh shrimp, peas, and other vegetables surrounded by a puddle of some tasty brown condiment. Then the oversized portion of Sesame Chicken arrived accompanied by fried sweet potato chips. The batter-fried chicken bits had an odd, fatty taste to it that was nonetheless haunting in a good way. The fried sweet potatoes were a stroke of sheer genius, utterly delectable in the accompanying sauce. With their reputation for such slap-yo'-mama good Chinese, I think I can forgive them for such sins as ordering for you -- a mortal sin in any other eatery. As for the rushed service, we brought it upon ourselves, fellow admirers of the House... if only there weren't so dang many of us! If my girlfriend has her way, I don't think we'll be eating non-dim sum Chinese food anywhere else.

Went to Mirabell last night (30 May 08) had not been there in 10 years. The food and service were just as EXCELLENT as we remember. We were in a party of 10 and our server Erika was just outstanding. We always had plenty to drink and our table was taken care of promptly. The food was just as we asked for, one in our party asked for a special dish that was not on the menu and the chef prepared it for him as he requested. We will not wait so long to go back again. Jeff the owner even came out and bought us a drink and made sure that everything was to our satifaction. And no we are not anyone special, just a group of friends out to have a nice evening. Thank you Jeff and Erika.

We ordered take-away from Emperor's Choice on Mother's Day to bring to the Northwest Side. The person on the phone was most accommodating, as we lacked a proper menu and ordered from the info found on the Web. She unbegrudgingly described to us an item we were unfamiliar with. We stuck with some Cantonese stand-bys -- sweet & sour pork/chicken, shrimp chop suey. We also got a chicken & black mushroom dish, along with pot stickers. After having arrived on the other end of town with the goods, they were still piping hot. Both sweet & sour dishes were exemplary and abundant, the sauce untainted by artificial color and brimming with pineapple chunks, tomato and bell pepper. The pork could have been a bit less gristly, but this was a mere trifle. Everything was fresh, delicious and satisfying -- even the shrimp chop suey, a dish of humble culinary pedigree, was better than it had to be, brimming with fresh veggies and shrimp. The chicken & black mushrooms contained huge mushroom caps, tender baked chicken breast pieces and was in a light yet tasty brown sauce -- ideal for health-conscious diners. On a past dine-in visit, I had enjoyed their scallops stuffed with shrimp -- marvelous and very fresh for the landlocked Midwest. It has been said that Emperor's Choice is a choice spot for Chinese-style seafood in Chicago. It's not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for, which ends up being a good value nonetheless as well as a worthwhile dining experience. If there is better Cantonese/Hong Kong-style cuisine in Chicago, I've yet to find it.

There are few places that can match the overall dining experience offered by the chefs and waiters of Greek Islands. The food, service, and ambiance are extraordinary! This is a perfect place to celebrate a special event or to simply enjoy a fabulous meal.
