This is a good place to go if you can expense it. If you have to pay for it yourself, it's really not worth it. I went there two days ago and am still embarrassed that I spent over $400 on dinner for two. Seriously, it was $440 for two people with one bottle of wine. I do love to eat out and I appreciate great food, but there is no way anything can live up to the price. In fact, the entree's of our Seafood Menu was very average. The other small - really small- courses were good but there are only one bite in size. The service was overdone. I could barely carry on a conversation because there were at least two servers at our table every five minutes. The noise level is non-existent. I think I heard a ghost of music, but it was so quite I was afraid to speak. The waiters felt it too as the whispered at us. The room design was like a page out of the room and board catalog, not very inspired. Oh, they do give you a little footstool for your purse... big deal. Most of the food was really good, but the whole experience was cold, antiseptic, overly fussy and not worth over $400. It just was not a fun night out dining, which is one of my favorite things to do.

This place is my favorite restaurant for my favorite meal. Fondue is the best meal to share with friends, a relaxing experience. I have been a regular at the Stube for 15 years, and I would recommend it to anyone.

I LOVE BANDERA! As a life long Chicago I have seen many restaurants come and go but Bandera remains my all time romantic/fun favorite. The food is simple yet delicious (ask for the cornbread with butter and honey on the side), Sit on Michigan Avenue side and get a whole new perspective on the Magnificent Mile. If you're not there for the romance, people watching is the next best thing. And the price is very very reasonable for the quality of the food and service, the live music, and overall atmosphere.

Unbelievable we had a very similiar experience. We ordered food to be delivered and since I am a vegeterian I asked to make sure the pot stickers did not have meat in them. They assured me they did not. Lo and behold when they arrived they had pork in it. I called and the manager argued with me for 15 minutes that he personally watched them make it, he said I was lying there was no pork in there. He was mean, nasty and irresonsible as a store manager. All I wanted him to do was credit my account for $4.00. Then, unbelievably he sent back the delivery person with potstickers (raw) which they also had pork in them. We drove to the place to confront the evil manager and the place miraciously closed down. Never has this ever happened to me before. Do not go there!!!

We went there for Mothers Day and found it to be a very pleasant experience. The staff was courteous, food was very good and Basilicos was beautiful in decor.

After living in Chicago for seven years, this is ONE OF THE BEST Indian restaurants in the city that I had found. The food is superb. The buffets are varied and delightful. Although they're atmosphere was once better when they were located on Clark St., their move to Halsted put them in a building that is heavy on the strip mall feel (this was 1997). Although the atmosphere was radically changed, the food remained as tasty as ever. The service is great. Ask for Jolly.

I've been to Dan Marino's and Jimmy Johnson's restaurants and I've just returned from Chicago and Michael Jordan's restaurant. It was nice and it was obviously a must see being in Chicago and it being owned by Michael Jordan, however, I wouldn't recommend it to my friends. We waited 1 1/4 to get in at 9 PM, got cattled through the gift shop for over-priced t-shirts and hats, then paid $10 for a hamburger because we didn't want a 23 oz. steak. Nice, classy restaurant, but besides the bar area it wasn't even that sporty.

Not only is the food the best (just like grandma used to make .. BEST), but the hospitality is 5 Star.

the pork chop vesuvio is the best i've had anywhere, also the lasagna, which is now a special and not on the regular menu, is second to none. and last but not least the rigatoni arribiatta, to die for. don't forget the desserts.
