Have eaten at Green Dolphin Street twice in the last 6 months. Once in December 2001 and June 2002. IN December I had a dinner party of 12 people. While the ambience and food were excellent the service we deplorable. 4 hours for dinner and the place wasn't all the busy. 2 friends and I had dinner last night (June 13) early in the evening. One of us actually had to get up and ask the waiter to get our beers we had ordered with him 10 minutes earlier. The food was first rate (barracuda no less, exceptional) but the slow service once again greatly diminished the over all experience.

To whom this may concern, My husband and I and 3 friends dined at Tru last night. I've never felt so ripped off in my life. I don't know how you could charge $17 for a cocktail!!!! That was the most egregious rip off. The food was good, but $90 for 3 courses of relatively small portions was outrageous. Three of us didn't like any of the offerings of hors d'oeurves, although 2 of us ordered 1 any way - the 3rd had a salad.....$90 for greens, meat and dessert!! Outrageous!! I've already told several people about our experience, and they were stunned with the $17 cocktail fee. Maybe we are the exception as the place was just about full on a Mon. night, but I think you should consider adding a 4th course of salads without raising the price. Also, the rolls were hard, and no flowers on the table or even a candle.

Just Right. I have been going there for years. A nice place to relax and enjoy. Tiny restaurant. Giant Menu. Giant wine list. Giant dessert list. This tiny place boast a selection at least 20 dessert s offered daily more than 30 on weekends. It is a small place that hangs in with the best of the best. I recommend splitting everything, app, salad, entree and dessert. For a couple of reasons. 1.The breads at this place are super delicious and are served with a side of olive tapenade ( olives with toasted walnuts spread) and Checca ( tomatoes and basil spread). Irresistable in a word. 2. They offer intermezzo between some of the courses. Some gazpacho first, then sorbet before entree, and cookies and chocolate covered strawberrries after dessert. 3. Trust me. a good meal for two can be had for price of one here. Leaving greater allowance for wine( wine selection is probably the best in the city, it's either Pane Caldo or the Four Seasons in this shootout). But expect no bargains.

I have been travelling to Chicago for 15 years and have never missed a visit to Twin Anchors. Some of the finest ribs I've ever tasted and a friendly, casual atmosphere. Alot of fun. A great way to start an evening enjoying the Lincoln Park area of Chicago.

All I have to say is that they rip you off!!!!!!!! Food was cold. They are misleading. They tell you one price and charge you another. They also tack on a service charge onto your bill without letting you know that they are doing it until you get your bill. Our bill was $70 for 5 people, two of which are under the age of 12. It's a buffet!!!!!! What service do they provide???? Serve cold food that you have to get yourself. Absolute worst. Very dishonest!! Save yourself the trip and go somewhere else.

I visited Chicago for the first time last weekend. My friend picked me up at the airport and we went straight to `Wishbones`. He said it was a wonderful restaurant with great food and a nice atmosphere. He was right! The only thing I can complain about is that I didn't buy a t-shirt...how can I get one now! PLEASE HELP. Thank you. Cindy

absolutely horrible. those are the only words i can think of. we went on valentine's day and understood that it would be very crowded but counting on it to be romantic. it was noisy. the servers were snooty. the door people even seemed to look down on patrons. we ordered an appetizer of shrimp and was shocked at how spicy it was. you couldn't even taste the shrimp. i went through several glasses of water and sent the shrimp back after a server snobingly told me, `of course it is spicy`. there are reasons why people cannot order spicy food and wish the menu said so. we finally left. the view wasn't that great anyway and people kept walking up to the window and blocking our views while making out.

Casual dining with an upscale feel. Servers always helpful with recommendations, friendly and they don't 'disappear' when you need them. Have never had a bad meal or service. Highly recommend. And they don't rush you, even when they are busy.

The food is good, but their phone service leaves much to be desired. No one wants to be on hold for 15 min trying to get a delivery order placed, even in the order-taker is polite....
