For years Rodity's has been the class of Chicago's Greek Rest. The food is the most authentic, you can tell by all of the Greeks that eat there. When your ready to eat go here for value.

We passed by when they were setting up, (3: 45), and decided to wait until they were 'rolling',(4:30). Well, they never really got rolling; Every little thing took what was apparently a conference between the server and the manager, and the wine list was organized in a confusing manner. This all added up to wine not being served for about 30 minutes. The wine, at least, was good,(California Pinot Noir), which is more than I can say for the food. All I can imagine is that they cater to old-school mid-America taste for salt and cheese: Marinara sauce isn't supposed to have cheese in it unless specially requested, yuck. I'll admit the spaghetti was `al dente`, but the sauce still made it inedible, (although probably not for the homeless man we gave it to on our walk to the `River Bus`). Ironically, the greens weren't properly salted to steam out the bitterness. The mushroom side,(not on the menu), was the only the complete success, while the Gnochi in vodka sauce was passable. This place is is not expensive, but certainly not the cheapest fare in the area. If you like large portions the way `Mamma used to make`, this will be your place only if Mamma was not Italian.

Cite was truly an exceptional experience. The food was very good, and included a few chefs extra’s that were a pleasant and tasty surprise. The service was the best I’ve experienced, with the only negative being that the staff left the used bread plates on the table during the entire dinner, even though bread was only served early in the meal. The meal was a great value, with the total bill per couple ranging from $100 to $140. This total can be greatly exceeded depending on what you order, especially in the wine category. The atmosphere was amazing. The only exception in this area would be the air system. We dined on a cold and windy night, and it seemed like the heating system would run until the restaurant was fairly warm, and then wouldn’t run until the room was relatively cold. Not sure what the thermostat range was, but the temperature window should be narrowed. All in all it was a great experience and I would recommend Cite to anyone in the city, as well as to anyone who is visiting Chicago.

While the food was okay (actually, the cinnamon rolls were pretty great), and our waiter was fine, the guy who served our table dumped a container of Italian dressing right into my lap. It went all over my shorts, legs, shoes and socks. The shorts were ruined. Although they didn't charge us for my food, I would never go back there.

YOU CAN'T EXPERIENCE CHICAGO WITHOUT EVER DINING AT THE BERGHOFF. IT BRINGS BACK THE ORIGINAL OLD WORLD MEANING OF HOW DINING USED TO BE. ALSO THE HOSE BEER (BERGHOFF BEER) IS BREWED AT AN OLD GERMAN BREWERY IN MONROE WI. BERGHOFF BREWERY, OWNED BY HUBER BREWERY.

The food was good, although I don't know what Greek food tastes like. The atmosphere is fun and it feels very international. The service was very slow and the food was not delivered all at the same time. The waiter was very helpful in suggesting wines and picking a food that children might like. Good fun.

As a tourist to Chicago this was exactly the type of restaurant I was looking for. A quiet haven in the big city. The atmosphere and decor made you feel like you were in a Godfather movie. At any moment the 'Don' could of walked in. The food was great, service perfect and a real Chicago type of feel. A must if you are a resident or just visiting.

We were disappointed when we ordered delivery from here. We had heard such good things, but the portions seemed small, padded out with alot of iceburg lettuce. When we opened up our dishes, one had been forgotten. The food we did get was just okay.
